The performance is scheduled for Sunday, April 12 at 5 p.m. in Bomberger Hall and is free and open to the public.
In addition to the show, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a question-and-answer session with the cast and creative team, as well as a hands-on workshop exploring the physical theater techniques used in the production.
Organizers say the event offers a unique way to engage with history through performance while celebrating a significant milestone in American history.
Schuylkill River Sojourn to Celebrate
America’s 250th Anniversary
The Schuylkill River Sojourn will mark a major milestone in 2026, celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States with special programming highlighting the river’s historical significance.
Organized by Schuylkill River Greenways in Pottstown, the annual event will take place from June 13 through June 19, covering a 112-mile guided journey from Schuylkill Haven to Boathouse Row in Philadelphia.
Participants will travel between 14 and 18 miles per day by kayak or canoe, accompanied by trained river guides. The experience includes meals, camping and gear transportation, making it accessible for a wide range of paddlers.
Pricing is set at $130 per day for adults and $75 for youth ages 16 and under, with full-trip rates of $775 for adults and $500 for youth.
Organizers say this year’s event will place a special emphasis on the Schuylkill River’s role in American history, offering a unique way to connect recreation with the nation’s 250th birthday celebration.
